Guy Titterington

Guy Titterington's 'Description' works investigate the traditions of painting and the alchemic process behind it. The series began as a reaction to how we view art online and in print media. Inspired by the Art & Language movement, they act as a script that Titterington performs; the text is added first and used as the subject matter. The descriptions used are often fictional or appropriated from other artists' works. The ambiguity of the descriptions used present a challenge with endless possibilities.

Titterington studied Fine art at Duncan of Jordanstone in Dundee and currently works in Glasgow.
