When it comes to method, I load the surface with a variety of mediums. Sometimes this includes three-dimensional objects, eventually forming a hybrid: part painting, part sculpture. This juxtaposition creates an incident for the viewer, challenging them to think outside the limits that have traditionally held painting and sculpture apart. Junk is a beautiful medium, not an ugly one; these materials achieve strong textures and structured dimensions that other dry or wet artistic tools can't.
