Sustainable practices are central to the design, aiming to revive the storied legacy of Ferintosh whisky production in the manner that respects both heritage and environment.

A Ghost Village New Distillery Portavadie Distillery – Conceptual Model

This model illustrates the proposed architectural scheme for the Portavadie Distillery. Situated on a sloping coastal site overlooking Loch Fyne where the ghost village near Pollphail, was built; it was never inhabited. The composition draws from vernacular Scottish forms, articulated through a series of interconnected volumes that respond to the topography and view. Materiality and massing to integrate sensitively with the landscape, while sustainable technologies are embedded within the fabric of the building.
