Description of Work:
An orthographic sectional drawing depicting the re-imagined Swan Hunter fabrication shed in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear.
A former 200-metre long dry dock will be transformed into a collaborative space, facilitating the exploration of technological advancements and innovations in manufacturing. Drawing inspiration from the rich archive of northeast England's industrial heritage, this educational initiative aims to inspire systemic change in how industry is approached, fostering practical learning experiences. The project seeks to enrich both the local community and engage visitors, promoting social cohesion through a new pedagogy whilst celebrating Wallsend's shipbuilding heritage.
