Verity MacBride

Verity MacBride works with Risograph printing, creating vibrant, eye-catching pieces. Verity is in her Fourth Year at Gray’s School of Art studying Fine Art. Her piece ‘Into the Distance’ explores movement in static imagery as the figure is walking away from the viewer in a staggered, sequential motion. This explores perspective as the figure gets further away and becomes smaller. She creates work that can capture the viewer’s attention, allowing them to take a moment to explore the figure’s movement. By using sharp, contrasting colours within a white space, she isolates the subject. This allows the viewer to focus on physical shape, which calms and enables them to disconnect from the world around them, much like the figures.
