The artist: I am a printmaker and painter originally from the Isle of Lewis, currently studying an Mlitt in Fine Art Practice at The Glasgow School of Art. Inspired by the discarded fragments and debris I have found proliferating on the streets of Glasgow, my work attempts to articulate a type of vitality in the nebulous, non-living artefacts that litter the city environment. In interrogating the overlooked and the ambiguous, my practice seeks to provoke curiosity and invite new and positive ways of engaging with material systems in complex urban worlds.
