Lyndsey Gilmour

Lyndsey Gilmour was born in Glasgow, 1988, and currently lives in Aberdeenshire. She works full-time as a Lecturer in the Painting department at Gray’s School of Art and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

 

Gilmour graduated with a Distinction on completion of a Master of Fine Art Degree in 2014, specialising in subject area of Painting, at the Slade School of Fine Art, London. She gained her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree, specialising in Painting, at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, in 2010.

 

Gilmour received a Dewar Arts Award in 2012 and 2013, along with a Scottish International Education Trust Award and a Pocock Award. Gilmour has also been the recipient of The William Coldstream Prize, RSA Latimer Award and an Aberdeen Creative Funding Award.
