The artist: "Drawing on a darkly comedic ethos and the aesthetic mode of 'the eerie', my practice explores class, cultural tribalism and the aporia of mental health within Capitalism. I am fascinated by the distortion of historic truth through myth and legend. My work hinges on a dialogue with the past as I use historic imagery, narratives & folklore to examine the above topics. My showcased work includes Terminal Velocity, a marbled plaster cast of a cadaver headrest and Missed Fortune II, a sublimation print on velvet of an unsuccessful Lotto scratchcard, presented in the style of a heraldic banner on scaffolding fixings."
