Judith Jones

I am a fine art photographer who completed a BA (Hons) and MA (Distinction) in 2008. I was elected a Royal Western Academician in 2021. I have exhibited widely in the UK and internationally and won various awards.

My selected work ‘Ten Years Later’ is part of my Twilight series. These images examine the dialectic between the outside and inside and with the conflicts of private and public spaces and those ambiguous spaces that can be either. The images explore concepts of exclusion and isolation, fear and uncertainty. Seemingly mundane vernacular spaces can hold a myriad of memories for us all, some of these spaces we may approach with fear or excitement, or simply a sense of familiarity and nostalgia.
