Mittaghorn at Night, 2025
This etching is part of a series of prints inspired by regular visits to the Swiss Alps in winter, in particular to the village of Mürren. During these visits I make sketches of the mountains which I develop as etchings or monoprints when I am back home in Edinburgh. On this occasion, I hoped that etching would help me capture the grittiness of the layers of rocks against the snow, and the eerie light at the end of the day.
