Sandra Chen Weinstein is a photographer, Ceramist. Born in Taiwan, she has worked and lived in DC, Japan, China for American State Department, and travelled for photo assignments to Europe, Middle East, Turkey, South Korea, Japan and India. Early in her photo career in 2009, she was chosen as the only American photographer among hundreds of applicants for Magnum Masterclasses in The Netherlands and in London, England. Sandra’s photography has received numerous distinguished awards including Photo London x Nikon Emerging Photographer Award short list 2025. Winner for OpenWalls Vol#4, Nomination for Prix Pictet HUMAN awards London British Journal of Photography 2023; State of the World PX3 2024 & 2022 Paris. Her works has been exhibited in Museum of Modern Art, Museum of Fine Art Washington, Aperture Gallery, Annenberg Space of Photography among many others.
Her work has been featured in The European Photography Magazines, French Culture Papier, FOTOMagaines, Color, Black and White Magazines, etc. Her work is in several private collections including The Gordon Parks Foundation.
