Sandy Sigala

Sandy Sigala is an interdisciplinary artist that currently lives and works in Glasgow. Her work explores identity, desire, oral histories, gender, ritual, satire, playthings, contemporary archaeology, waste lands and assemblage. S finds inspiration in mundane everyday life occurrences, experimental film, subcultures, found objects, the occult, urban noise, literary fiction, irony, paradox, queer approaches, puns, plants, artefacts, the historic avant-garde, writing lists, humid summer evenings and lust. She enjoys experimenting with materials and employs humour and wit as tools to question and reflect on stuff.
